Lead Recruitment Performance
Brisbane, Queensland
Ref - 3344

Please note - this role is advertised for current internal employees only

Shape the future of recruitment across one of Australias largest mining businesses.  Glencore Metals Australia is transforming the way we attract, recruit and retain talent.

As we continue the redesign of our recruitment processes, we are establishing a new specialist role to lead recruitment performance across our operations. This is a unique opportunity to build a best-in-class recruitment capability that directly supports safe production, operational performance and business growth.

Reporting to the General Manager HR Metals Australia, you will provide specialist expertise across a diverse portfolio of mining, processing and corporate operations, partnering with leaders across Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.

This is not a traditional recruiter role. It is a strategic centre-of-excellence position responsible for improving recruitment performance across the business.

 About the role

As Lead Recruitment Performance, you will:

  • Develop and execute the recruitment strategy across Glencore Metals Australia.
  • Drive recruitment performance through data, analytics and continuous improvement.
  • Build innovative attraction and sourcing strategies for critical skills and high-volume recruitment.
  • Lead recruitment marketing and employer branding initiatives.
  • Optimise agency partnerships and commercial performance.
  • Develop talent pipelines that reduce reliance on external agencies and contractors.
  • Coach and uplift recruitment capability across HR teams.
  • Partner with operational leaders to solve workforce challenges and improve hiring outcomes.
  • Identify and implement leading recruitment technologies, practices and market insights.

 About you:

You are a recruitment leader who enjoys solving complex workforce challenges and building capability rather than simply filling vacancies.

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience in talent acquisition, recruitment leadership or recruitment excellence within a large and complex organisation or high intensity agency environment
  • Proven success improving recruitment performance through strategy, sourcing and innovation.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate recruitment outcomes into operational value.
  • Experience managing agency partnerships and optimising direct hiring strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • A passion for continuous improvement, data-driven decision making and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Experience within mining, resources, heavy industry or other operational environments will be highly regarded.

Why join us?
This is an opportunity to create something new.  Youll have the mandate to establish recruitment excellence across a business with significant hiring demand, influence senior leaders, implement contemporary recruitment practices and build a capability that delivers measurable operational impact.  Working within a collaborative HR leadership team, youll help shape the future of workforce attraction and recruitment across one of Australias leading diversified mining businesses.  If youre looking for a role where you can influence strategy, improve performance and leave a lasting legacy, wed love to hear from you.
