Hi everyone, I'm Christine. I am an incoming summer analyst at Citibank this summer. I currently study Chemistry at Imperial College of London and am in my second year. I have been asked to write a few words on how to secure a summer internship with an Investment Bank.

If you're reading this, you're going into your 2nd year (of a 3 year degree) or 3rd year (of a 4 year degree) or you're a first year (of a 3/4 year BSc in Keenness). The following is by no means exhaustive but it's a few key things that I have used in the past.

Summer interns aren't a bank's number one priority. You're not the superstar they're waiting to hire.
