The position leads key reward governance initiatives and annual cycles, including compensation review and the performance management process, while also providing leadership through strategic project delivery, capability uplift, and mentorship across Reward, Recognition, and the broader HR function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver executive insights, market analysis, and pay equity reviews to support fair, competitive remuneration decisions.
  • Oversee reward governance, including CPS 511 compliance, remuneration disclosures, and risk controls.
  • Lead the GROW performance management cycle, driving consistency, capability, and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare Board and Board People and Remuneration Committee papers and support governance activities.
  • Deliver strategic reward and HR projects aligned to business priorities.
  • Provide expert guidance on reward, benefits, mobility, and recognition to leaders and employees.
  • Act as delegate for the Head of Reward & Recognition, supporting leadership, risk, and team capability uplift.
  • Uphold strong conduct, governance, and values-based decision-making.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or a related field (Six Sigma certification desirable).
  • Extensive experience as a senior reward professional (10+ years), including within the Banking & Financial Services industry and other complex, highly regulated environments.
  • Proven expertise in reward frameworks, remuneration cycles, benchmarking, job evaluation (e.g. Hay methodology), and pay equity.
  • Strong background in reward governance, including regulatory compliance, disclosures, and Executive and Board-level reporting.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex projects and operating in global, matrixed organisations.
  • Deep knowledge of ANZ employment, tax, superannuation, and financial services regulations (APRA/RBNZ), with broader exposure to benefits and mobility.
  • Highly credible advisor with strong stakeholder influence, commercial acumen, and sound judgement.
  • Advanced analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear, executive-ready insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience coaching and developing HR or Reward professionals advantageous.

What we're proud to offer you:

  • Rabo@Anywhere is our hybrid way of working at Rabobank and for Australia, that means we have a blend of time working between the office and home.
