Senior Associate or Junior Director, Capital Markets, Advisory


Overview:

Perella Weinberg is seeking a senior Associate or junior Director to join its expanding Capital Markets Advisory (CMA) team. We are looking for a candidate with at least 5 years of investment banking or financial advisory experience in capital markets advisory, leveraged finance, private credit, or related financing market advisory roles.

PWPs CMA team provides independent, balanced, and trusted advice to help the firms clients navigate through increasingly complex financing markets. The team works closely with its sector coverage bankers and the firms clients on originating, structuring, and executing financings for M&A transactions and our clients broader financing initiatives. The CMA team interfaces daily with both private credit and bank market participants.

The new team member will join a dynamic team that works across all the firms industry sectors and will report directly to the Head of Capital Markets Advisory. We expect the new team member to have a strong credit background. In addition, the new team member should have an entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to work as part of a lean team as well as cross-functionally with all the industry sector teams in the firm.
 
 Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare materials supporting client discussions, organizing information from various sources in thoughtful and appropriate ways

  • Provide transaction execution leadership and process management for capital markets advisory assignments across sectors

  • Lead junior team in creation of various analyses including debt comparables, review of credit agreements and indentures, covenant provision comparisons, cash flow and leverage modeling, precedent financing analyses

  • Lead due diligence process for potential private placements including analyzing cash flows, asset values, corporate structure, quality of management team, etc.

  • Assist at times, and lead at other times, deal teams in development of financial projections, data rooms and relevant materials such as Confidential Information Memoranda, management presentations and board presentations

  • Lead negotiating and comparison of term sheets including relative to peer financings

  • Participate in deal origination and client marketing efforts, including the development of ideas that assist in winning mandates

  • Recruit, manage, train and develop junior resources

  • Learning every day and enjoying what we do

The annualized base salary for this position is $185,000 - $275,000.

The annualized base salary range represents low and high ends of the base pay range for this position. The specific base salary an employee in this job classification receives depends on a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic work location, prior employment history/experience, job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.

Base pay is just one component of PWPs total compensation package that may be available to employees. Depending on the position and other factors, other rewards may also include discretionary bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), paid time off, and many other benefits, subject to applicable eligibility criteria and Firm policies.
