Join our Financial Control team and play a key role in ensuring integrity of financial data in the ledger. Functionally, you will be expected to be very hands-on with reconciliations and control for the businesses you are supporting.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in our office location.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will apply accounting expertise to review sub-system postings, reconcile balances, resolve breaks, and ensure accurate and complete ledger data for reporting, tax, and month-end close. You will support key processes such as transfer pricing, balance sheet reconciliations, accounting judgments, and P&L/balance sheet variance analysis, while engaging with stakeholders and meeting tight close timelines. You will also contribute to system and process improvements, including a new subledger implementation, support audits and internal teams, and advise on accounting impacts for new products and business initiatives.

  • Bachelors or masters degree in accounting with 15 years of relevant experience (CPA/CA preferred)
  • Experience with general ledger accounting, including posting journal entries and reconciliations
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS preferred) and financial reporting processes
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work across global teams
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment and take on increasing responsibility
