As a Trading Services Analyst within JPMorganChase, you will play a pivotal role in the execution and processing of trade orders, ensuring the smooth operation of our trading and portfolio management businesses. Your work will have a significant impact within your team, contributing to the overall performance of our trading services. Your responsibilities span from supporting order execution to settlement, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all trade activities. You will leverage your developing knowledge of market products and automation technologies to optimize our operating platform. Your ability to manage change and drive continuous improvement will be developed in this role, as you work to enhance our processes and systems. With a focus on collaboration, you will build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, while developing your influence and presentation skills to communicate data-driven insights and collaborate in impactful decisions. Your work will have a direct impact on our team's performance and the achievement of our short-term operational goals.
Job responsibilities
- Monitor and manage trade lifecycle events (capture, confirmations, amendments, settlements) to required standards and SLAs
- Execute reconciliations and investigate trade breaks, working with Front Office, Operations, counterparties and vendors to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain and enforce existing controls and procedures; ensure consistent adherence across the team
- Act as a liaison between Front, Middle and Back Office to ensure clear communication and timely resolution of issues
- Support regulatory and policy change implementation from an operational perspective
- Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives; identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk
- Provide subject matter support on product and process queries, including knowledge transfer and on-the-job coaching for colleagues
- Own issue resolution with appropriate escalation and maintain a control-focused approach to daily activities
- Build effective working relationships with global stakeholders to support business needs and projects
- Minimum 4 years experience in Derivative/Commodities Operations, Middle Office or Back Office support (or equivalent)
- Strong product knowledge across commodities (energy, metals, agricultural, environmental) and an understanding of endtoend trade lifecycle for physical and derivatives transactions
- Proven experience with trade reconciliations, breaks investigations and operational controls
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interact with global stakeholders and frontline trading team
- Strong control mindset with the ability to identify process gaps, prioritize remediation and drive risk mitigation
- Collaborative team player with experience partnering on cross-functional projects and change initiatives
