Full Job Description

Job Description:

At ING Italy, we are building a Business Bank for the Italian market: digital, fast, entrepreneurial and powered by data, technology, and the Orange Code. To accelerate our growth, we are looking for an Owned Media Expert to shape and scale the owned performance engine of our new Business Banking line.

This is a unique opportunity to drive Italys digital sales growth and be part of the Growth & Digital Sales Team.

Responsibilities

As an Owned Media Expert, you are responsible for driving customer growth, activation and engagement for Business Banking Italy through best-in-class owned media. You own the end-to-end owned media strategy across always-on and campaign-based touchpoints, from awareness and consideration to conversion, onboarding and in-life engagement. You combine strategic thinking, hands-on execution and strong performance steering to make owned media a measurable commercial growth driver. You collaborate closely with teams across data & analytics, UX, branding, paid media, CRO and product teams to ensure owned media is fully integrated into the broader customer journey.

1. Own the owned media strategy across the full funnel

Define and scale the owned touchpoint strategy across e-mail, in-app placements, inbox/push messaging and other lifecycle touchpoints, ensuring these channels contribute to both new customer acquisition and existing customer engagement.

2. Build and optimize always-on customer journeys

Design and improve always-on journeys and tactical campaign flows that activate relevant audiences at the right moment, with the right message, based on customer signals, business priorities and funnel needs.

3. Drive personalization, segmentation and journey orchestration

Work with data and journey teams to translate customer behaviour and business opportunities into smarter segments, triggers, propositions and communication flows that increase relevance and conversion.

4. Lead testing, learning and performance improvement

Own the experimentation roadmap across content, audiences, placements and journey setup. Ensure learnings are translated into structural improvements and scaled based on measurable impact.

5. Turn data into action and build a performance-led owned engine

Monitor owned media performance across engagement and conversion metrics, challenge results, identify opportunities and ensure dashboarding and reporting lead to clear actions and better commercial outcomes.

6. Ensure strong governance and cross-functional execution

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver owned media executions with speed and quality, while safeguarding consistency, compliance, local relevance and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 25 years of experience in CRM, owned media, lifecycle marketing, digital sales or performance marketing; experience in a commercial digital environment is highly valued
  • Hands-on experience with owned channels such as e-mail, in-app communications, push/inbox, landing page journeys and customer lifecycle communication
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into clear actions and improvements
  • Experience with segmentation, personalization, testing and performance optimization
  • Affinity with automation and AI-driven optimisation in marketing
  • Up to date about the latest trends in CRM, digital engagement and lifecycle marketing
  • Entrepreneurial, pragmatic and decisive
  • Comfortable operating in a corporate environment, while moving at startup speed
  • A challenger mindset you aim high, iterate fast, and remove blockers

Important to have:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in (digital) marketing, business, communication or related fields
  • Fluent in both English and Italian

Contract offer:

Working conditions: Permanent employment contract

Working hours: Full time (37 hours per week)
