Help shape the future of AML/CTF risk management

We're looking for an experienced AML Compliance Manager to join our Financial Crime Compliance team and play a pivotal role in protecting the bank from money laundering and terrorism financing risks while helping drive one of the most significant regulatory reform agendas in the industry.

This is more than a compliance role.

You will support the local execution of ING Australias Enterprise-Wide ML/TF Risk Assessment, including methodology application, stakeholder engagement, evidence review, risk scoring and reporting, while contributing more broadly to FCC governance, regulatory change and risk management activities.

What you'll do

  • Support the local execution of ING Australias Enterprise-Wide ML/TF Risk Assessment, including assessment planning, methodology application, stakeholder engagement, evidence review, risk scoring and documentation

  • Maintain risk assessment methodology, criteria, scoring and evidence standards in line with AML/CTF reform, AUSTRAC expectations and ING Group requirements

  • Engage 1LoD and control owners to identify inherent risks, controls, residual risk, gaps and actions, and provide effective second line challenge where required

  • Produce concise risk assessment outputs and reporting for board and  senior management

  • Contribute to FCC Governance & Change activities, including policy and framework updates, regulatory change implementation, committee reporting, action tracking and governance documentation

What we're looking for

  • Experience supporting or executing enterprise-wide, business-wide or thematic ML/TF risk assessments, ideally in a banking or financial services environment

  • Experience in conducting and executing Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessments (EWRA) or product (ML/TF risk assessments)

  • Deep knowledge of the AML/CTF Act, associated regulations, AML/CTF Rules and AUSTRAC guidance, with the ability to apply these requirements in a practical, risk-based way

  • Familiarity with AML/CTF reform, regulatory change and financial crime governance frameworks

  • Experience working in banking or financial services, ideally within a complex or international organisation

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex regulatory requirements and risk outcomes for business audiences

  • Excellent analytical, judgement and influencing skills, with a strong focus on practical, risk-based outcome

  • Confidence to challenge constrictively, escalate material risks and maintain clear, auditable records
