The Group AI Platform team sits within CTO Platforms, part of HSBCs Chief Technology Office (CTO). We build shared AI foundations that enable teams across the Bank to deliver AI solutions faster, more safely and at scale.

Our platform provides a paved road for AI delivery, bringing together seamless access to AI models and infrastructure, a consistent Agent HUB to build, deploy and manage production-ready AI agents, reusable AI capabilities (such as knowledge management and document intelligence), and built-in controls including guardrails, evaluation and monitoring to support responsible adoption.

The Opportunity

Were hiring an onboarding team member (Business Analyst / Junior Product-style) to support users onboarding to the Group AI Platform. Youll help manage the onboarding journeyfrom request intake and requirements capture through coordination, tracking, and stakeholder communicationsworking closely with engineering, platform operations, and governance partners.

What youll do

1. Serve as a key contact for onboarding/migration requests, helping users understand platform capabilities and guiding them through onboarding steps.
2. Support structured discovery to capture requirements and onboarding needs (use case, data, model type, environments, access needs, and key non-functional requirements).
3. Coordinate with engineering, platform, product, and user teams to progress onboarding activities and follow up on dependencies.
4. Support BAU onboarding operations, including maintaining trackers, preparing materials, and organising sharing/demo sessions.
5. Provide regular status updates and help maintain onboarding timelines/targets so users have clear visibility of progress.
6. Contribute to continuous improvement of onboarding materials (templates, FAQs, playbooks) by capturing feedback and suggesting enhancements.

What you will need to succeed in the role

1. Business analysis & requirements engineering
- Able to gather requirements via workshops/1:1s and document outcomes clearly.
- Produce solid artefacts such as notes, scope summaries, user journeys/process steps, user stories, and acceptance criteria (with guidance where needed).
- Comfortable working with some ambiguity and turning requests into structured onboarding actions.

2. Product/Delivery management (end-to-end onboarding ownership)
- Support onboarding from intake to completion: triage, prioritisation, planning, execution tracking, and closure.
- Maintain risks/issues/dependencies and escalate where appropriate.
- Help keep work moving by following up and coordinating across teams.

3. Stakeholder management & user-facing communication
- Comfortable engaging users, engineers, and governance partners; able to influence without formal authority.
- Provide clear updates on status, next steps, and blockers; raise concerns early.
- Able to handle routine expectation management with support from senior team members when needed.

4. Agile ways of working & tooling
- Exposure to Agile ways of working (backlog, stand-ups, demos) is beneficial.
- Working knowledge of JIRA (creating/updating tickets, basic reporting) and Confluence (maintaining pages/templates)

5. Process design & continuous improvement
- Able to follow and maintain onboarding processes, checklists, and templates.
- Identify recurring issues and propose practical improvements.

6. Analytical thinking & operational metrics (SLA/visibility)
- Comfortable tracking basic operational metrics (e.g., request volume, ageing, lead time) and maintaining simple dashboards/trackers.
- Strong attention to detail (approvals, access prerequisites, scope clarity).

What additional skills will be good to have

1. High-level familiarity with AI/ML concepts and lifecycle.
2. Experience in regulated environments and awareness of governance controls (risk, security, data privacy).
3. Basic understanding of cloud/platform services and access management.
4. Experience supporting reporting/metrics and stakeholder updates.
5. Interest in process improvement and customer journey thinking.
6. Workshop facilitation or note-taking/action tracking experience.
