We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Vice President, Finance Operations.

In this role you will:

  • Managing monthly financial book close in line with group financial reporting and local regulatory reporting timeline for Finance Operations with main areas covering distribution, health and fixed asset related process.
  • Daily monitoring of batch run from Health Policy Administration System (PAS /COMPASS) and promptly managing any remediation actions of any exemptions.
  • Support the product development team and system Day2 change request activities as the main finance subject matter expert (SME).
  • Work with the Distribution function [Distribution Support Services (DSS) and Distribution Performance Management (DPM)] to ensure correct booking align to the production period and insurance fund.
  • Managing the end user computing (EUC) controls Finance Operations.
  • Commission and Distribution accounts related Balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation support to distribution team.

To be successful you will need:

  • Relevant experience in finance operations preferably in Life insurance industry
  • Prior experience in managing insurance commission & distribution cost booking will be and distinct advantage.
  • Ability to adopt to the current GL and policy admin system and operational simplifications using Alteryx, Power builder and AI will be an added advantage.
  • Full/ Part professional qualification in accounting and finance
  • Degree in accounting and finance
