Murrin Murrin Operations has an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team.
Murrin Murrin Operations is Australias largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WAs northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role
The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for planning and scheduling asset maintenance and repair work for their responsible departments, to optimise the productivity of the plant through asset availability.
You will be responsible for:
- Scheduling plant maintenance to ensure minimum asset downtime and increase asset availability.
- Supporting shutdown activities by providing consistent quality work orders in a timely fashion
- Optimising plant availability, reliability, performance, and safety through planned maintenance strategies
- Improving maintenance performance through development and modification of maintenance activities and schedules
- Keeping the company dedicated CMMS up to date with effective maintenance plans and procedures.
- Maintaining effective interaction with the maintenance and production departments
- Actively develop a culture of teamwork and development within Planning and Shutdown Teams
About You
This role would suit a Maintenance Planner with previous experience in CMMS within a fixed plant/refinery environment who is looking for job security and career opportunities. You will also have:
- An Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification (preferred)
- 5+ years experience in modern maintenance planning and scheduling, with a solid understanding of contemporary planning philosophies
- Confidence to challenge scope and verify work quality, ensuring standards and expectations are met
- Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule across multiple areas and disciplines
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, with the communication ability to work effectively across departments
- Competent computer skills, including CMMS use and the Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience is highly desirable
- A valid manual Australian drivers licence
