The opportunity

The position is for the GDS team within EY Brand, Marketing and Communications and will be aligned to the Communications and Engagement (CE) pillar. This position will work with our stakeholder team to create compelling communications for various internal finance and operations deliverables, including overall cascade approach to relevant stakeholder, messaging and communications materials. The role will also manage EYs CE channels, including intranet, webcast, newsletter and email communications. This role will support the development and execution of internal communications strategies aligned to business priorities and the broader organizational agenda.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Write, edit, produce and curate content for internal deliverables across a variety of channels, such as internal news articles, personnel announcements, newsletters, videos, internal reports, meeting and town-hall materials, and intranet content.
  • Project manage and plan for team deliverables and upcoming milestones, including overseeing communications calendars, schedules and timelines across multiple initiatives.
  • Develop and execute internal communications strategy/plans, working with key stakeholders across the Communications team.
  • Interview stakeholders to gather information for drafting various deliverables.
  • Oversee metrics and impact for the teams communications activities.
  • Develop and implement communications initiatives aligned to business priorities to engage, educate and inspire employees
  • Interact and collaborate with internal teams, including Creative, Marketing and Shared Services teams, to deliver high-quality communications assets.

  • Understand, implement and strictly adhere to the EY brand and quality standards and procedures, including verbal and branding guidelines
  • Simplify complex finance and operations content into actionable and easy to understand communications for various audience within EY
  • Pursue and share best practices within the team

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and ensure all deliverables are of high quality
  • Bring strong project management skills, balancing competing demands and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in handling sensitive communications with discretion, ensuring protection of the firms interests and reputation
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot) and explore innovative uses of technology to enhance communications efficiency and effectiveness
  • Exhibit strong editorial judgment and the ability to influence communications approaches with stakeholders when needed

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Overall, 8-10 years of experience and 7-9 years of direct communications experience, in-house on a corporate, internal or employee communications team or at an agency supporting internal and employee communications
  • Graduate Bachelors or masters degree preferably in English literature, mass communication or journalism
  • Excellent writing ability in English and experience with various forms of writing must be able to produce writing samples in English or complete a writing assignment
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills
  • Deep experience in internal communications / corporate communications, preferably with some finance communications experience
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
