Full Job Description
Location: Vilnius, Lithuania
In Group Risk Management, you will be part of a department that validates critical risk information and models across the organisation. As part of the data validation function, you will help ensure our end-to-end processes comply with BCBS 239 principles and support effective risk aggregation and reporting in close collaboration with experts and stakeholders across many teams.
About the team
You will join a small team based in Copenhagen and Vilnius, where we are still shaping our set-up and ways of working. As a newly established function, you will have a real opportunity to shape how we operate, bring new ideas and help us work smarter and more efficiently to increase our impact.
About the role
In this role, you will contribute to building a strong foundation for effective risk management by helping to ensure that data is accurate, consistent and reliable. You will work directly with data, using a structured and analytical approach to support the quality of our risk reporting and decision-making. Together with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation, you will play an important role in developing and maturing our data validation framework and practices.
This position is based in Vilnius, Lithuania. Danske Bank supports a high degree of workplace flexibility (our team is currently using a hybrid working model, where we work at least 3 days a week in the office.)
This role does not offer the relocation package.
You will:
Perform hands-on data analyses to understand data structures, quality issues and business logic
Execute data validation checks, and investigate data issues to pinpoint root causes and propose pragmatic solutions to help secure the accuracy and integrity of data
Contribute to the development and implementation of data validation processes and controls
Support the head of the unit and colleagues in preparing and presenting reports on data validation activities and findings
Collaborate with stakeholders across the 3 lines of defence to understand data challenges and help explain gaps identified through validation
About you:
You are motivated by creating tangible value and are eager to look for better ways of doing things. You are comfortable working directly with data such as reading data scripts and performing your own data analyses, and you are not afraid to step into areas where you are not yet the expert. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment where knowledge is shared and are keen to both learn from others and gradually contribute with your own insights.
A curious and structured mindset and a willingness to explore new approaches and ways of working
Initial familiarity with data-related risks, their assessment and mitigation, and ideally some exposure to data management and BCBS 239
Foundational understanding of one or more risk areas such as market, credit, operational or sustainability risk, and an interest in building skills within risk reporting
A dynamic and flexible approach that enables you to work professionally with topics beyond your current core expertise
Good communication skills, enabling you to explain complex data issues in a clear and concise way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
We offer:
Monthly salary range from 3280 EUR to 4820 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
Additionally, each Danske Bank employee receives employee benefits package which includes:
