Full Job Description
Location: Vilnius, Lithuania
In Group Risk Management, you will be part of a department that validates critical risk information and models across the organisation. As part of the data validation function, you will help ensure our end-to-end processes comply with BCBS 239 principles and support effective risk aggregation and reporting in close collaboration with experts and stakeholders across many teams.
About the team
You will join a small team based in Copenhagen and Vilnius, where we are still shaping our set-up and ways of working. As a newly established function, you will have a real opportunity to shape how we operate, bring new ideas and help us work smarter and more efficiently to increase our impact.
The workplace is located in Vilnius. Danske Bank supports workplace flexibility (we currently use a hybrid work model, where we work at least 3 days in the office).
This role does not include a relocation allowance.
About the role
In this role, you will help build the foundation for effective risk management by ensuring that data is accurate, consistent and reliable. You will be working directly with data, applying a structured and analytical approach to safeguard the quality of our risk reporting and decision-making. Together with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation, you will have a pivotal role in developing and maturing our data validation framework and practices.
You will:
Take ownership of end-to-end data validation activities for selected domains or processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of data
Design, implement and continuously improve robust data validation processes and controls
Function as a local anchoring point for the Data Validation team in Vilnius and support the onboarding of new colleagues
Work with stakeholders across the 3 lines of defence to understand existing data challenges and explain gaps identified through validation
About you:
You are motivated by creating tangible value and are motivated to seek better ways when you see a better way forward. You enjoy working with complex topics, are comfortable stepping into areas where you are not yet the expert and have a genuine curiosity about how high-quality information supports effective risk management. You thrive in a collaborative environment where knowledge is shared, and you are keen to both learn from others and contribute with your own insights.
Strong focus on value creation and a curious mindset, open to new ways of working
Solid understanding of data risks, how they can be measured and mitigated, and experience with data management and BCBS 239 principles
A structured and analytical mindset, with strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy
Knowledge of key risk types such as market risk, credit risk, operational risk and sustainability risk, as well as experience with internal and external risk reporting
Familiarity with data value chain analysis and data lineage, and a dynamic, flexible approach that enables you to work professionally with topics beyond your current core expertise
We offer:
