Junior Site Reliability Engineer

At Capgemini, youll have the opportunity to collaborate with a leading European mobility services provider, headquartered in Germany and backed by nearly 90 years of expertise. As part of this journey, youll contribute to the launch of a new Tech Hub in Porto, helping to drive innovative, technology-led solutions that are transforming how businesses move while contributing to a more sustainable future.

YOUR ROLE

  • Support day-to-day monitoring and operation of production systems under guidance.
  • Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents following established procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotations (with mentorship and escalation support).
  • Help maintain monitoring dashboards, alerting rules, and basic observability setups.
  • Contribute to operational tasks such as service checks, deployments, and configuration updates.
  • Assist in documenting runbooks, operational procedures, and known issues.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Academic or professional background in IT operations, systems engineering, DevOps, or software engineering, with ability to follow operational processes and escalation procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux, system administration fundamentals (logs, processes, networking), and initial exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with containers (Docker), deployment concepts, and monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, ELK, Prometheus).
  • Comfortable working in Agile/Kanban teams and structured environments with SLAs, with ability to read basic code (Python, Java, or scripting) for troubleshooting.
