Job Title: Compliance Manager CIB KYC (VP)

Department: India CoE Compliance Hub

About Business line/Function: 

India CoE Compliance Hub enables safeguarding the Groups reputation and mitigating the risks across all business lines by supporting the Compliance functions globally. Currently, the India CoE Hub is structured into divisions aligned with the areas they serve, offering services for Group Compliance COO TOP, trade surveillance, electronic communications monitoring, transversal risk management, personal account dealing, MIS, and project support. The team collaborates closely with business partners worldwide.

Position Purpose: 

To support onshore Compliance CIB Teams located worldwide in their KYC onboarding/recertification following escalation made by the business. The position will consist in working closely with 1LOD business teams (CEFS) and Compliance KYC onshore teams.

Responsibilities

With support from senior management, the Compliance Manager is accountable for the overall performance, riskcontrol framework and strategic delivery of the Compliance function across the CIB KYC team. The role balances operational governance, peopleleadership and stakeholdermanagement to ensure the KYC team meets its regulatory and servicelevel commitments.

         Define portfolio-level KPIs (lead-time, reject-rate, escalation rate) and produce a consolidated performance dashboard for senior management.

         Deliver a concise weekly status report that summarises workload, sanity check completion rates, bounced back trends and any red-flag items that require escalation to onshore or senior management; Highlight emerging patterns and recommended corrective actions.

         Capture recurring pain points, prioritise enhancements opportunities and lead the implementation of approved improvements in partnership with the team leaders, management, and onshore teams.

         Act as the primary escalation point for any regulatory-impact or high-severity issues; coordinate any remediation plan if needed with Group functions

         Produce head-count forecasts, manage the KYC budget and optimise resource allocation to meet SLA commitments while supporting the onshore decision-making cadence

         Promote a risk-aware culture within your teams and acts as the visible advocate for high-quality KYC standards across the organisation

         Contribute to any additional tasks, steering committee work or special projects delegated by senior management, leveraging the collective expertise of the team.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

         5+ years of compliance experience, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role managing multiple teams (15+ professionals) in a Global Banking, Securities Services, or CIB environment.

         Proven ability to lead through direct reports (Team Leaders), including performance management, talent development, and succession planning.

         Deep expertise in AML/KYC regulatory frameworks (FATF, EU AMLD, US CFT) and risk-based compliance methodologies, with experience translating regulations into operational policies

         Strong stakeholder-influence skills, with the ability to align priorities across 1LOD, On-shore Compliance Advisory, Senior Management, and Governance Committees

         Analytical and data-driven mindset, with experience designing KPI dashboards, conducting root-cause analysis, and driving process improvements

         Fluent English (written/oral) with the ability to draft policies, SOPs, and executive reports

         Computer literacy and a good knowledge of standard computer software e.g. Microsoft Office and able to learn and utilise specialist applications.

Specific Qualifications:

         15+ years of KYC/FS/AML Compliance experience in a managerial role.

         University graduate
