Full Job Description

Oversees the network team, which provides network services, and ensures long-term strategies meet current and future network requirements. Manages the evaluation and selection of network technologies.

Core Responsibilities

1. Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.

2. Oversees the network team, which provides network services, including designing, installing, configuring, and integrating new network technologies. Ensures network installations meet standards and align with the divisional strategy.

3. Manages the resolution of the most complex issues elevated from Support Center and Technical Services groups. Ensures problem identification, escalation, and resolution occurs in an expedient manner on all platforms.

4. Oversees the implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures, system monitoring and automation, and troubleshooting activities. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement. Ensures the maintenance of the telecom network documentation repository.

5. Participates in the development of short and long term department goals. Implements operational plans to achieve department objectives. Ensures service level commitments are clearly understood to meet business needs.

6. Manages the testing, evaluation, and selection of vendor products and manages relationships with vendors.

7. Ensures compliance with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures within the team, an ensures deliverables meet Information Security Requirements.

8.Manages enterprise and data center network security strategies leveraging modernized cloud-delivered security services.

9. Manages and governs the team responsible for Zero Trust access architectures using Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), enabling secure user to application connectivity without traditional network based trust models.

10. Leads security services in application hosting environments with Zscaler Cloud Connector and Zscaler Branch Connector.

11. Leads architectural patterns for secure internet access, private application access, and SaaS security, including traffic steering, identity based access controls, and policy enforcement across hybrid and remote work scenarios.

12. Ensures Zscaler architecture aligns with Zero Trust principles, regulatory requirements, and enterprise security standards, including data protection and compliance controls.

13. Partners with security operations teams to ensure architectures support operational visibility, threat prevention, user experience monitoring, and lifecycle management across both on prem and cloud delivered security platforms.

14. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of ten years related work experience. Network experience preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of network and cloud security architecture principles, segmentation strategies, and Zero Trust design models.
  • Management experience with Zscaler platforms, including ZIA and ZPA, and their role in secure internet access, private application access, and Zero Trust network transformations.
  • Strong understanding of integrating firewall and Zscaler architectures with identity providers, routing, load balancing, application delivery, and hybrid cloud connectivity models.
