Position Description:

Performs analysis and documentation of data flow and business process maps. Examines business systems, client needs, and system processes to document requirements. Identifies documents for business requirements, current and future states, and provides constructive feedback for future process improvements. Performs workflow design, data analysis, data visualization, and impact analysis. Works with Agile methodology concepts and agile tools -- Jira, Confluence, Mural, or similar Agile backlog management tools. Performs fit gap analysis, gathers data requirements, and identifies data sources and gaps. Works with the team to provide effective product partnership through communication, risk mitigation, quality assurance, effective delivery, and builds strong working relationships across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs workflow design, data analysis, data visualization, and impact analysis.

  • Acts as a liaison between stakeholders and the team.

  • Works with an analytical team to recommend and implement analytical enhancements.

  • Defines epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and facilitates story refinement sessions, and demos sprint deliverables.

  • Participates in daily scrums, sprint planning meetings, release planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Performs end-to-end business acceptance testing and ensures the traceability of test cases.

  • Analyzes business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems.

  • Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and reviews computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations designs.

  • Develops solutions to applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Senior Manager, Product Management (or closely related occupation) building and maintaining a suite of applications that support regulatory reporting of trading data to regulators in a financial services environment, using Jenkins, Github, Snowflake, and JIRA.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Manager, Product Management (or closely related occupation) building and maintaining a suite of applications that support regulatory reporting of trading data to regulators in a financial services environment, using Jenkins, Github, Snowflake, and JIRA.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (DE) supporting decision-making in investment performance, risk analytics, and regulatory reporting, using data analytics; writing complex SQL queries for validations; leveraging data to drive actionable insights using SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and Python; and conducting data validation, cleansing, and transformation for complex datasets.

  • DE ensuring seamless end-to-end system integration, using Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP), Oracle, and custom-built IT solutions, data migration, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and go-live planning; contributing to enterprise rollouts with a focus on minimizing business disruption and ensuring user adoption; performing data migration using HTML and CMS; applying custom Python scripts for tailored migration logic in custom-built environments; and performing Agile UAT tracking and reporting, using Jira Xray.

  • DE supporting enterprise-level initiatives involving detailed analysis and re-engineering of business processes, using industry-standard methodologies (Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)); applying Lean Six Sigma and Value Stream Mapping; identifying operational inefficiencies and translating them into actionable system requirements; improving process efficiency across key operational workflows; using diagramming tools (Visio and Draw.io) for Business Process Modeling templates; and developing user stories, requirements, and collaboration, using Jira and Confluence.

  • DE processing optimization, monitoring, and change enablement; analyzing post-go-live performance to ensure solution effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities; process mining, uncovering bottlenecks, and validating process adherence, using Power BI and Tableau; translating insights into actionable initiatives; collaborating across teams to refine workflows and enhance systems; performing change management through targeted training, user guides, and communication plans; and driving adoption via feedback loops using Qualtrics.
