The M4 Business Readiness leader is responsible for driving enterprise-scale change readiness, ensuring successful adoption of large Fund Tech Modernization transformation initiatives by aligning process, people, and communications. This role operates as a strategic partner to business and technology leaders, translating program outcomes into tangible business capability and sustained operational adoption.

This role goes beyond deliveryits about making lasting impact across the enterprise. Youll lead readiness for a large-scale technology transformation, guiding teams through the shift from legacy platforms, and bring together strategy, execution, and people leadership. With a broad remit and lead a strong team, youll be at the center of one of the organizations most critical initiatives. Ensuring transformation doesnt just launchbut delivers lasting adoption and business value.

This Business Readiness leader is responsible for driving enterprise-scale change readiness, ensuring successful adoption of large Fund Tech Modernization transformation initiatives by aligning process, people, and communications. This role operates as a strategic partner to business and technology leaders, translating program outcomes into tangible business capability and sustained operational adoption.

Core Responsibilities

  • Leads enterprise business readiness for large-scale transformation initiatives, ensuring the organization is fully prepared to adopt new processes, systems, and operating models

  • Drives alignment across stakeholders, operating models, and change activities to minimize risk and maximize adoption

  • Hires, evaluates, develops and supervises crew.

  • Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.

  • Manages cross-divisional programs or multiple workstreams within a larger program. Drives all phases of the program lifecycle from inception through implementation while ensuring that business objectives are delivered with high quality and within targeted timeframes.

  • Creates and maintains a multi-year program strategy that clearly identifies specific actions and tasks needed to achieve future state goals. Provides written and verbal communication to many different audiences within Vanguard on status of the program.

  • Builds and maintains strategic relationships across sites, departments, divisions, and internal and external partners to support their program initiatives. Develops strong relationships with program leadership, sponsors, and workstream leads.

  • Ensures all steps are taken to mitigate risk, and maintains control, compliance, audit, and legal requirements. Integrates and oversees change management efforts across the overall program. Closely monitors program costs and budget and escalates cost variances appropriately and timely.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in program management, transformation leadership, or large-scale business change initiatives, preferably in financial services

  • Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience

  • Strong critical thinking, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and time management abilities.

  • Ability to lead teams under pressure, deliver results across complex program environments, and ensure accountability to strategic objectives and regulatory expectations.
