This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly alongside portfolio managers and investment professionals who help manage some of the industry's most respected investment products. As an Investment Data Trade Support Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and availability of the investment data that drives portfolio management and trading decisions. You will partner with stakeholders across the investment ecosystem to solve complex challenges, support daily investment operations, and help advance modernization initiatives that are transforming how data supports the investment process. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining analytical thinking, relationship management, and operational problem solving in a fast-paced environment. Whether your background comes from investment operations, financial services, portfolio support, or a related field, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing deep expertise in investment management, markets, and portfolio operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary liaison between portfolio managers, traders, relationship managers, custodians, and internal partners to provide guidance across portfolio administration and data issues, determining appropriate escalation, resolution paths, and risk mitigation.

  • Leads daily ad-hoc portfolio administration and operational activities in accordance with defined procedures and objectives.

  • Perform analysis and reconciliation of investment and portfolio data inputs, including evaluating data trends, modeling impacts to portfolio positioning, and identifying potential data, valuation, or trade readiness risks requiring further action or control enhancements.

  • Supports the maintenance, delivery, and validation of investment, market, and portfolio data across systems.

  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data exceptions and operational issues through performing root cause analysis, assessing operational and portfolio risk implications, and recommending corrective actions or control improvements.

  • Builds and maintains foundational knowledge of investment products, trade lifecycle processes, and operational risk considerations relevant to supported functions.

  • Participate in the onboarding and administration of new portfolios, products, or market driven events by supporting requirements gathering, data validation, and testing activities.

  • Supports the development of dashboards, operational reports, and management information. Contributes to process documentation, standard operating procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years experience in the Financial Services industry or related experience.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and business partners.

  • Strong attention to detail with experience working in environments where accuracy and risk management are critical.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and succeed in evolving operational environments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex issues.

  • Interest in financial markets, investing, and the investment management industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting portfolio managers, trading functions, investment operations, or market-facing activities.

  • Knowledge of investment products, portfolio management concepts, or trade lifecycle processes.

  • Proficiency with Python, VBA, SQL, or other data analysis and automation tools.

  • Progress toward or completion of a CFA designation, MBA, or other investment-related credential.

**This is a fully onsite position, Monday-Friday in Malvern, PA**
