Operations Apprentice - India

 

Our 12 Months Apprenticeship Programme is designed to give you real responsibility from day one.

 

You wont just observe how a global bank operates you'll help power it. In Technology and Operations, you sit at the heart of how we deliver for our clients each day. Youll work on live processes, support real transactions and help ensure our clients needs are met accurately, effectively, and safely.

 

Throughout the programme, youll:

 

  • Take ownership of meaningful assignments that impact real clients
  • Build technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Develop confidence working with data, systems and processes
  • Learn how risk, controls and governance protect a global bank
  • Strengthen your communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Gain exposure to senior leaders and thought-leadership sessions

 

By the end of the year, youll understand how a global bank runs behind the scenes and the role you can play in shaping its future.

 

What youll be doing

 

As an Operations Apprentice, youll support the teams that keep our banking engine running smoothly. Youll:

 

  • Support day-to-day processing activities to ensure transactions are completed accurately and on time
  • Help monitor operational performance and customer service standards
  • Assist in resolving client queries and improving service outcomes
  • Track key metrics and maintain data to support reporting and decision-making
  • Support managers in overseeing transactions and meeting payment obligations
  • Learn how operational risk and controls work and help ensure we meet regulatory and policy requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within your team.

 

Youll gain first-hand experience of how strong operations enable global deals, protect clients, and maintain trust.

What were looking for

 

We're looking for curious, driven individuals who want to learn how global banking works in practice.

 

You should:

 

  • Be a final-year student or 2025 graduate (BTech, BCom, Economics, Computer Science or related disciplines)
  • Be eligible to start in March 2026 with the legal right to work in India
  • Have strong academic performance and be actively involved beyond the classroom
  • Be confident working with data and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Be detail-oriented, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate integrity and a strong sense of responsibility

 

No prior banking experience is required just the motivation to learn and contribute.
