About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems that power our applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions. 

Key Responsibilities

-------------------- 

- Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and related frameworks. 

- Write basic unit tests and support smoke testing in test environments

- Manage and monitor Linux/Unix-based servers and ensure system reliability and performance. 

- Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and application issues. 

- Collaborate with DevOps to implement CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments. 

- Work with databases such as MySQL, Postgres and Oracle, writing efficient SQL queries and optimizing performance. 

- Participate in incident management and root cause analysis.

- Ensure code quality through version control systems like Git and adherence to best practices. 

- Contribute to Agile development processes and participate in sprint planning, documentation and reviews.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Core Java including OOP principles, data structures, and algorithms.

- Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or JSF. 

- Understanding of web fundamentals (HTTP, JSON, XML) and basic JavaScript/JSP

- Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and RESTful APIs. 

- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server). 

- Familiarity with Linux/Unix system administration and monitoring tools. 

- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, protocols, and troubleshooting. 

- Experience with incident management tools and processes. 

- Hands-on experience with Git or other version control systems. 

- Understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). 

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. 

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira. 

Nice to Have

- Experience with microservices architecture. 

- Exposure to security best practices in backend development. 

- Certifications in Java, cloud platforms, or system administration
