About the role
We are a cloud engineering team responsible for a wide range of data deliveries for reporting and analytical purposes, often driven by legal and regulatory requirements.

We continue to build on our data platform in gcp including identifying ways to improve our analytics and reporting capabilities be it ai agents or any other automation or efficiency enablers. We also enable other teams on the platform to build their business data products within our domain.

In this position You will regularly communicate and collaborate with colleagues in and out of the team. You will work on the agile ceremonies in the team and drive the PI planning together with our PO. You will design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud-native data pipelines and platform capabilities on GCP. You will contribute to ingestion, orchestration, transformation, monitoring, and operational improvements across the platform, while helping ensure data quality, governance, and maintainability.

The role also includes contributing to reusable engineering patterns, CI/CD and automation practices, observability improvements, and onboarding of new teams and consumers onto the platform.


To thrive in this role, we believe you have 

  • Several years of experience in software or data engineering
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience building and maintaining scalable data pipelines
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (preferably GCP)
  • Experience with orchestration or workflow tools (e.g., Airflow or similar)
  • Understanding of modern data architectures (e.g., Data Warehouse, Data Lake)
  • Proven experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development workflows
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Experience using LLMs as part of your development workflow, either professionally or through personal projects.


Nice-to-have skills:

  • Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery and Pub/Sub
  • Containerization (e.g., Docker)
  • Event-driven architectures and streaming data
  • Advanced data modelling techniques (e.g., Dimensional Modelling, Data Vault)
  • Data quality, monitoring, and observability practices
  • IAM, secure access, and data governance principles
  • Building robust and highly reliable data systems
