Manager Partnerships

  • Business Line: Retail Banking

Purpose:

The Partnership Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a high-impact network of strategic partners that deliver value across customer segments in alignment with the banks overall strategy. This role contributes to the success of cobrands and local partnerships by ensuring the execution of specific goals, plans, and initiatives that support the teams business objectives. All activities must be conducted in full compliance with applicable regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

 

What do we expect of you?:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Business Administration Preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing loyalty programs, managing strategic partnerships and alliances, client relationship management, or leading loyalty-related projects.
  • Required experience in analyzing KPIs and business performance metrics; experience with data analytics and visualization tools is preferred.
  • Ability to proactively identify opportunities, take initiative, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and the ability to work independently to accomplish tasks are essential
  • Intermediate English preferred.

Accountabilities:

Customer-centric strategy

  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage the banks broader ecosystem of partnerships, systems, and insights.
  • Strategic Partner Management
    Build and manage strong relationships with assigned strategic partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment on joint activities, promotions, and performance tracking.
  • Ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement in partnership and credit processes to enhance customer experience and drive sales.

Cobrand Portfolio Oversight

  • Manage the assigned cobrand portfolio, developing strategies that drive profitability and customer loyalty.
  • Monitor and project key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure portfolio health and strategic alignment.

Local Execution of Regional Strategy and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Understand and apply the regional loyalty and partnerships strategy for cobrands, ensuring local alignment and effective implementation of initiatives.
  • Develop and execute tactical initiatives to support cobrand and strategic partner goals, working closely with local teams including Payments, Products, Marketing, Operations, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Plan and manage calendars for promotions, benefit plans, and coordinate with Lifecycle and Campaign Management Team, initiatives to increase portfolio engagement (e.g., redemptions, benefit usage).

Innovation and New Partnerships

  • Monitor local market trends to maintain competitiveness and relevance.
  • Actively contribute to projects involving new cobrand products, local partnerships, and other strategic initiatives within Loyalty and Partnerships.

Risk & Compliance

  • Apply the banks risk appetite and culture in daily decision-making and operations.
  • Ensure adherence to Scotiabanks Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles.
  • Maintain effective business controls to meet obligations related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.

Team & Culture

  • Champion a high-performance and inclusive work environment, contributing to talent development and team motivation.
