What you will do
Identify, develop and formulate research on global private equity markets, industry trends, macro dynamics
Produce high quality, actionable, private equity thought leadership research and analytical content, primarily in English
Develop insights to support the views held on investment themes/strategies and communicate it internally and externally
Undertake data-driven analysis supported by both in-house and external data sources
Partner with investment teams to leverage intellectual capital across industries/sectors and private equity strategies
Build on insights from other business divisions at Schroders including capital market teams, industry/sector coverage teams, and economy/macro teams
Complete ad-hoc queries and research projects on specific topics
Manage and maintain investment databases and other resources to ensure that research information is up-to-date and readily accessible
Provide regular reports and updates on investment research findings
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
Bachelor or Master in economics, finance etc.
At least 5 years of experience in asset management / private equity
Experience undertaking qualitative and/or quantitative research
In-depth understanding of private equity markets, complemented by a broad understanding of financial markets and underlying economic, social and political drivers
Proven thought-leadership, strategic foresight and innovative mind-set
Strong collaboration and influencing skills and experience with and comfort engaging with senior leaders
Demonstrated excellence with verbal and written communication skills; experience drafting written reports or commentary
Excellent presentation skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A collaborative attitude and positive approach t teamwork
