Job Summary: 

 

The role is responsible for managing relationships with market makers and security brokers to support the growth of the firms active ETF platform. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily fund flow activities, including subscriptions and redemptions, and acting as the primary liaison between external counterparties and internal teams such as investment, dealing, and operations. The role also contributes to ETF planning, product development, and trade implementation in Asia region, and reports locally to the CIO of Schroders Taiwan, functionally to Head of ETF Capital Market (EMEA) and Head of Trading (Asia Pacific). 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating daily ETF fund flows with security brokers and relevant internal stakeholders. 
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance standard operating procedures for fund flow management, ensuring strict adherence to compliance and risk management requirements. 
  • Support the Head of Dealing (Taiwan) and Fund Managers in monitoring ETF trading execution to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with participating dealers, and liquidity providers. 
  • Collaborate closely with investment, product, and client teams on new ETF development initiatives. 
  • Collect, analyse, and communicate relevant market intelligence to senior management in a timely manner. 
  • Act as the central contact for market-making arrangements, contractual negotiations, and the definition of creation and redemption requirements. 
  • Work with implementation teams to standardise best practices for ETF creation and redemption processes. 
  • Monitor bid-ask spreads, premiums, and discounts across the product range, escalating issues to lead market makers as appropriate. 
  • Support active ETF product development initiatives in Asia region to address client needs and market opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with regional and global product teams to support ETF registrations and product expansion initiatives in Asia region. 
  • Work with asset class heads to identify suitable strategies for implementation within an ETF structure. 
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to manage operational risk and remain informed of regulatory and legislative developments.
  • Facilitate effective communication across teams to promote best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Oversee and monitor the provision of an iNAV service for the ETF Platform. 

 

Experience and Skills:

 

  • Extensive experience in asset management or financial services, with direct exposure to ETF capital markets or ETF trading across domestic and international listed and OTC instruments. . 
  • Strong understanding of ETF mechanics, including pricing, liquidity, creation and redemption processes, and premiums and discounts. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners. 
  • Solid understanding of exchange and market structure environments, with a commitment to staying informed of regulatory and market developments.
