Full Job Description

We support our clients through close and intensive guidance during economically challenging business situations and help them navigate the often unfamiliar restructuring environment, with the aim of restoring their financial health. By implementing innovative financial restructuring solutions, we strive to manage the complex balance between supporting our clients and optimizing RBIs risk position.

 

Your role at RBI:  

 

  • Assess and analyze distressed loan exposures from both a commercial and legal perspective for clients in financial difficulty
  • Develop recovery strategies to restore a sustainable debt-service capacity while reducing the banks risk, including the ability to present and defend these strategies to various stakeholders such as decision-makers, auditors, and regulators
  • Proactively collaborate with advisors as well as representatives of other banks and funds
  • Establish and lead deal teams in active restructuring engagements
  • Negotiate directly with stakeholders
  • Coordinate and oversee the loan administration of implemented restructuring agreements and ensure their ongoing monitoring
  • Lead and contribute to internal projects focused on innovative development within the bank

 

Your core competencies: 

 

  • University degree in business administration, economics, finance, law, or a comparable field
  • Knowledge of corporate finance, banking products, and credit processes within a restructuring or risk environment
  • At least 5 years of experience in restructuring, workout, or credit risk management
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to non-performing exposures (NPEs) and restructuring frameworks
  • Ability to analyze financial information and derive structured, actionable recommendations
  • Very good English skills, combined with negotiation and presentation capabilities
  • Experience in preparing and communicating complex topics for different stakeholder groups
  • Familiarity with common financial analysis tools (e.g., MS Office) and ability to work with data for scenario analysis
  • Proactive way of working, ownership in resolving issues, and a thinking out of the box mindset
