Your future role at QRT: 

Were looking for a hands-on Software Engineer to join QRT. In this role youll build out the tooling that manages and monitors production datasets, keeping them flowing, observable, and reliable. Youll work closely with other engineering teams and business stakeholders to deliver a mission-critical platform that prevents material trading losses.

 
Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Developing and maintaining a platform which ensures the quality and correctness of our datasets, and alerts stakeholders to critical production issues 
  • Maintaining and improving shared libraries which are used by developers across the data-function and facilitate the rapid onboarding of new datasets
  • Designing, building, and documenting our integrations with other teams processes, which alert them to relevant issues with our data-pipelines
  • Supporting users in best practice usage of our tooling, migrating code to the latest standards as well as investigating, debugging and resolving issues with our platform 

Your present skillset: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field 
  • Previous experience in software engineering, exposure to financial data is a plus  
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and proficiency in Python/Rust 
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure 
  • Exposure to the front-end, particularly with regards to custom monitoring dashboards, is a plus 
  • Knowledge of data-quality frameworks (Soda/Great Expectations) is a plus 
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with other engineers, quants and traders  
  • Ability to work autonomously within a global team
