We are looking for a (Senior) AI Specialist to join the AI & Automation team in Group Finance. The team works across Nordeas financial steering and regulatory landscape, supporting capital and liquidity management, risk and control processes, regulatory reporting, and the broader Group Finance value chain.

In this role, you will focus on identifying where AI can create value, enabling adoption across Finance units, and acting as a bridge between business needs and technical capabilities. You will play a key role in shaping the AI agenda in Group Finance and ensuring that solutions are understood, adopted, and deliver value.

What youll be doing

 

In this role, you will drive AI adoption in Group Finance, working closely with Finance stakeholders and the technical team:

  • Facilitate discovery workshops and Innovation Labs with Finance units to identify and shape AI and automation opportunities
  • Assess feasibility and readiness in close dialogue with developers, data experts, and platform teams
  • Drive communication and awareness of AI capabilities, limitations, and roadmap across Group Finance
  • Support adoption and change, including development of targeted training materials and delivery of enablement sessions
  • Monitor adoption and value realisation, identifying barriers and working with stakeholders to address them
  • Translate technical capabilities into business value, managing expectations and ensuring a shared understanding
  • Stay current on vendor and platform AI capabilities, and proactively communicate relevant developments to Finance units

 

You will join a team of 6, located across the Nordics and in Poland, with a diverse skillset spanning AI, data science, automation, and platform development. The role is based in either Helsinki (FI), Copenhagen (DK), or Stockholm (SE).

  • Masters degree in finance, economics, engineering, computer science, data science, or equivalent
  • Experience working with AI, automation, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives in a business or technology context
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience translating business needs into technical or analytical requirements
  • Familiarity with working in regulated environments and with governance considerations
  • A growth mindset and willingness to continuously develop AI and domain knowledge
