Job Description
Within the department Chief Operating Office - Corporate & Investment Banking (COO CIB), you join the perimeter Global Banking Operations, and more particularly the Back Office Commodities Trade Finance Operations, as Back Office Commodities Trade Finance Manager. The team ensures the processing of international trade finance transactions, the securing of their execution as well as the operational and regulatory monitoring of client instructions.
On a daily basis, your tasks are to:
- Take charge of the customer instructions for the assigned portfolio and implement the requested funding (short-term currency advances, overdrafts, documentary credits, stand-by letters of credit, first-demand guarantees);
- Analyze and process instructions in accordance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements and client needs, while ensuring their proper outcome in information systems;
- Follow up on management events, report any anomalies or incidents to the hierarchy without delay, and process accounting outstanding issues;
- Monitor operations in light of the requirements of financial security and fraud prevention, and alert in case of doubt or suspicion;
- Being the preferred contact for teams front office and middle office, while contributing to projects and actions for the continuous improvement of production.
As Back Office Commodities Trade Finance Manager, you participate in the continuous improvement of the quality of operations and propose actions aimed at automate production and to reduce operational risk.

With a two- or three-year degree in Finance Banking, you have 2 to 3 years of experience in the field of international trade.
You master:
- Financing and international trade techniques (physical, financial, documentary flows, incoterms);
- The processing of Trade Finance transactions;
- The usual office tools, notably Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
- Operational monitoring and control of operations in information systems;
- Financial security and fraud prevention issues.
You have excellent interpersonal skills, a very good ability to listen; you are:
- Organized.
- Reliable and rigorous;
- Endowed with strong team spirit and excellent communication skills.
You are proficient in English with a minimum C1 level, both written and spoken. Knowledge of a second foreign language.
