Job Description


Working closely with all the members of the Madrid team and ultimately reporting to the Head of Infrastructure & Energy Finance in Madrid, you will support the origination, structuring and execution of project finance transactions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the financing of transactions across all infrastructure sectors (Renewables, Telecom, Social, Transport, PPP) in Iberia.

  • Structuring project finance transactions: financial modelling, debt sizing, sensitivities and bankability analysis.

  • Coordinating and analysing due diligence workstreams (technical, financial, legal, commercial, ESG) to identify and mitigate key risks.

  • Analysing and assessing projects and Sponsors: financial strengths/weaknesses, business plan and risk profile.

  • Drafting and processing credit applications in coordination with internal teams (Coverage, Portfolio, Syndication, Risks).

  • Reviewing and understanding key financing terms and conditions (pricing, covenants, security package, legal documentation) to analyse how they shape within the transaction structure.

  • Preparing pitch books and marketing materials to secure financing and strategic advisory mandates.

  • Taking part in the syndication process: preparing documentation for participating banks/credit entities and monitoring the distribution of the financing. 

  • Performing KYC procedures, conducting internal rating/LGD assessments for projects, among other related duties.


Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience


Solid financial modelling skills: proven ability to build models from scratch and running sensitivities is required.
2-3 years of relevant experience, ideally in project finance, infrastructure or energy. Experience in adjacent fields audit, transaction services, M&A, banking or infrastructure advisory will also be considered.
Bachelors degree in business administration, Business Administration & Law, Economics, Engineering or another STEM discipline. A Masters in Finance, CFA (completed or in progress) is a plus.
Entrepreneurial mindset, taking initiative and performing tasks with a high degree of autonomy to drive projects and processes forward.
Analytical rigour, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
Full professional working proficiency in both English and Spanish. Additional languages are a plus (French and Portuguese are highly valued).
