Your Team Responsibilities

The PCS Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) role within MSCIs Coverage team, contributes to the success of new sales, upsales, and associated revenue generation within the private markets landscape. This role exists to help drive sales and upsales during the benefits positioning stage of the sales cycle; focusing on functional positioning, product differentiation and a client driven pitch - a prerequisite to shorten the sales cycle and influence commercial negotiations. Youll play a pivotal role in ensuring our prospects and clients realize the full value of MSCIs private markets solutions through multiple channels including internal applications and services, APIs, and 3rd party platforms. If you are relentlessly client-focused, excel at positioning MSCIs solutions, have the ability to quickly understand client use cases and needs, and are ready to seize opportunities, this is your opportunity to make a difference.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with prospective clients to understand their investment strategies and use cases to craft compelling demos, POCs, and trials aligning new product offerings with evolving client needs and business priorities
  • Analyzing prospect and client supplied portfolio and market data for use in targeted PCS prospect engagements
  • Develop and execute tailored prospect engagement strategies to ensure alignment with MSCIs private markets value proposition
  • Conducting application demos and presenting results directly to prospects
  • Collaborating closely with Sales, Product and Research teams to ensure a team-based approach leads to a seamless presales experience
  • Partner with internal teams to relay prospect and client insights that shape future solution development and enhancements
  • Training prospects during the trial phase on the tools & applications, methodologies and reporting - educating prospects o how they can utilize various analytics to meet their business requirements and use cases
  • Proactively proposing and POCing custom/workaround solutions to meet client use cases

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 57 years of relevant experience in client-facing roles within asset management, financial services, or fintech
  • Proven experience managing institutional client relationships and driving commercial outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of private markets or a demonstrated interest in alternative investments
  • CAIA or CFA designation, or a strong commitment to pursue certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with an ability to uncover opportunities and align solutions to client goals
  • Bachelor's degree (BA, BS or equivalent) from an accredited four-year college
  • Collaborative mindset and experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Operations teams
