What youll do in the role:

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is seeking an Executive Director, Banking in New York, New York to lead coverage efforts of U.S. financial institution clients. Leverage and bolster the Firms cross-departmental private credit initiative and broaden treasury dialogue. Contribute to Canadian bank coverage in order to expand the Firms current footprint. Oversee bond issuance and market considerations. Leverage and develop investor relationships to bolster the Private Placement franchise. Provide rating agency analysis, interest rate hedging and derivatives. Utilize proprietary Firm tools and systems to provide capital structure analysis. Comply with regional specifications relative to capital market bankers.

What youll bring to the role:

-Requires a Bachelors degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field of study.

-Requires seven (7) years of experience in the position offered or seven (7) years as a Vice President, Associate, Analyst, or a related occupation.

-Requires seven (7) years of experience with the following skills:

  • bank balance sheets;
  • capital raising across capital structures;
  • financial modeling;
  • M&A, divestments, and rating agency modeling, particularly the impact on financial institutions balance sheets and income statements;
  • presenting comprehensive solutions to clients;
  • data and statistical analysis;
  • Client and project management; and
  • bank regulatory and ratings framework.

-Requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills:

  • modeling asset-liability management and derivatives.

-Requires one (1) year of experience with the following skills:

  • sales across securities and loans.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $300,000 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
