Full Job Description

Morgan Stanley's Rewards & Analytics team is seeking a Compensation Associate to support the Investment Banking Division (IBD) and Global Capital Markets (GCM). This role combines traditional compensation execution with an expectation to help automate, modernize, and scale how insights are delivered.

What youll do in the role:

Compensation & Analytics

  • Support both mid-year and year-end salary and bonus processes
  • Conduct compensation modeling, benchmarking, and market analyses
  • Support compensation forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
  • Prepare senior management exhibits and presentations
  • Analyze compensation and workforce trends to develop actionable insights
  • Partner with HR Partners and business leaders on compensation-related initiatives
  • Support strategic workforce compensation needs and ad hoc business analyses

Automation, Data & AI

  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline compensation processes
  • Leverage AI and analytics tools to improve reporting and decision support
  • Partner with HR Strats, HR Technology, and Compensation team on modernization initiatives
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and practical AI applications across Compensation and HR

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in analytical discipline
  • 26 years of experience in Compensation, HR Analytics, HR Strategy, or a related analytical role
  • Advanced excel, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Interest in automation, AI, and data-driven decision making
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, Snowflake, or similar tools is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $91,000 and $131,500 per year at
the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
