The Equity Specialist will be responsible for daily reconciliations and ad hoc trade queries revolving around settlement, same day trade matching and broker queries. Will also be occasional project work that will be delegated for completion.
Principal Responsibilities
Daily trade / cash / position / Market value reconciliations.
Interacting with the trading groups and Prime Brokers (PBs).
Cash management between different PBs.
Intraday trade monitoring.
Resolving position/Market Value/trade discrepancies.
Mitigating risk by ensuring timely completion and reporting of all trade and position breaks on T+1.
Qualifications/Skills Required
Overall experience 3 - 10 years
Experience in equity operations / support.
Strong knowledge of financial instruments with emphasis on equities and CFDs.
A working knowledge of futures and options will be an advantage.
IAQ level three qualification preferred but not essential.
Ability to implement and maintain new systems, procedures, and controls.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Must be able to work independently.
