What role will you play?

In this role you will oversee and execute the independent valuation process for energy products, including price verification, benchmark reviews, and fair value adjustments. You will help develop valuation methodologies and control frameworks, assess valuation risks, and provide reporting and analysis that supports informed decision making. You will work closely with teams across trading, risk, finance, research, and model review to strengthen valuation processes and drive continuous improvement.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 4 days a week in our Houston office location.

What you offer

  • 15+ years' of valuation experience, ideally within the energy sector, background in finance, accounting, economics 
  • Strong understanding of valuation techniques, financial instruments, and energy related derivative products. 
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis tools, with the ability to solve complex analytical problems. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with cross functional teams. 
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
