Our Second Line Operational Risk team provides independent oversight of Technology, Cyber and Information Security risk across Macquarie. Working as part of the Enterprise Risk function, the team helps drive a consistent approach to risk management by providing specialist risk insights, challenging risk practices, and supporting a strong risk culture across the Group.

What role will you play?

As a Senior Manager, you will lead enterprise-wide oversight of Technology, Cyber and Information Security risk, developing a consolidated view of risk exposures, emerging threats and control weaknesses across the organisation. You will review and challenge how risks are identified, managed and reported, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk appetite, policies and minimum control standards. The role will involve analysing risk information, identifying trends and themes, and providing clear insights to senior leaders and governance forums. You will also contribute to enterprise risk reporting, support the continuous improvement of risk frameworks and policies, and provide expert guidance to help strengthen non-financial risk management practices across the business.

  • Significant experience in Technology, Cyber and Information Security risk, Operational Risk Management, or a related risk discipline, with experience working in or partnering with enterprise risk functions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex risk information, incidents, metrics and assurance outcomes into clear and actionable insights
  • Experience developing and applying enterprise-wide risk frameworks, reporting approaches and risk measures, including identifying risk themes and trends across multiple business areas
  • Proven ability to influence, engage and constructively challenge senior stakeholders while building strong working relationships across teams and levels of the organisation
  • Experience supporting executive, board or regulatory reporting, with knowledge of enterprise policy, framework and standards development. Experience across other non-financial risk areas such as supplier, data or operational resilience risk is advantageous.
