In this role you will be responsible for forming an independent, practical and robust view of the operational risk profile across Macquaries Futures business. The role is designed to apply front-to-back markets experience to challenge risk and control effectiveness, identify gaps across execution, clearing and client activity and drive targeted, pragmatic improvements.

  • Strong experience in financial markets, futures or listed derivatives within trading, operations or risk environments
  • Practical understanding of the futures trade lifecycle, including execution, clearing, settlement, margining and reconciliations
  • Ability to assess control design and effectiveness and identify gaps across end-to-end processes
  • Experience analysing events, data and reporting to identify trends and underlying control weaknesses
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge constructively and influence senior stakeholders.
