What role will you play?

You will contribute to the development of a reusable library of Web Components built on native browser standards such as Custom Elements and Shadow DOM. You will translate Figma designs into modular, systemlevel patterns, helping identify opportunities to standardise and simplify UI components.

Using modern tools, including AIassisted workflows, you will improve code quality, documentation and maintainability. You will also help implement automated visual and functional testing to ensure longterm stability of the component library. A strong emphasis is placed on accessibility, with every component built to meet WCAG standards using semantic HTML and ARIA best practices.

What you offer

  • 2+ years of handson frontend engineering experience, with a strong understanding of core web technologies including HTML, DOM, CSS and responsive design principles, as well as advanced CSS3 features such as variables and scoping
  • Solid proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), including asynchronous programming concepts such as Promises and the event loop
  • Experience building reusable UI components using a modern frontend framework (React, Angular, or Vue), with working knowledge of TypeScript for defining clear and maintainable interfaces
  • Familiarity with enterprise UI component libraries (e.g., MUI, Ant Design, FluentUI, Atlassian) and design tools such as Figma
  • Experience with source control systems such as Git and basic exposure to automated testing tools like Playwright or Selenium
  • Experience with any of the following is an advantage:
    • Accessibility testing using screen readers (e.g., VoiceOver, NVDA) and static analysis tools such as Axe
    • Web Component libraries such as Lit or Stencil
    • Web performance testing and optimisation using tools like Lighthouse
    • Exposure to AIassisted development tools such as Claude or similar LLMs.
