In this role, you will sit within the second line of defence, providing independent oversight, governance and credible challenge of how external fraud risks are managed across Macquaries businesses.

You will play a key role in advancing the external fraud risk oversight framework, including policies, standards and governance arrangements, and will challenge the design and effectiveness of first line fraud prevention and detection controls across the end to end customer lifecycle.

You will monitor emerging fraud and scam typologies and translate this intelligence into forward looking risk insights to support senior management decision making. Working closely with first line fraud, product and business teams, you will act as a trusted risk partner while maintaining independence and ensuring alignment with Macquaries risk appetite and regulatory expectations.

You will also contribute to executive and governance level reporting, communicating complex fraud risks, control weaknesses and emerging trends to senior management, risk committees and other governance forums.
