We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager in APAC Indirect Tax to join our team. The role is suited for a tax professional with 46 years of experience in indirect tax, preferably with exposure to APAC jurisdictions. You will work closely with regional teams, including India and Singapore, to support tax compliance, tax accounting, advisory, and process improvement activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and reviewing indirect tax compliance deliverables across APAC, with a focus on India and Singapore. You will support the preparation and review of GST/VAT returns, tax payments, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end indirect tax accounting entries, GST registrations, audit queries, and tax technical assessments. You will also be expected to partner with internal stakeholders, identify process improvements, and support regional indirect tax projects.

Chartered Accountant, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred, with 46 years of relevant experience in indirect tax.
Strong working knowledge of GST/VAT concepts, indirect tax compliances, tax accounting entries, reconciliations, and audit support processes.
Experience in India GST is required; exposure to Singapore GST and/or other APAC indirect tax regimes will be preferred.
Ability to review tax returns, identify issues, perform technical analysis, and support tax positions with appropriate documentation.
Good understanding of accounting standards, financial systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel; experience with automation or process improvement initiatives will be an advantage.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global team across different time zones.
Curious, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage deadlines and contribute to cross-border indirect tax projects.
