- Ideally 2-3 years in a government relations or communications role, either in-house or at an agency.
- A bachelors degree in a relevant area such as communications, public policy, international relations, or a related field.
- A demonstrated interest in politics and government relations, with an understanding of the Australian political landscape.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to distil complex issues into clear and concise advice for senior audiences.
- Experience preparing executive briefing materials, stakeholder correspondence, or policy documents.
- Excellent communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
