Role Overview

 

We are looking for a FP&A Manager to drive best-in-class financial planning for LSEGs global Engineering function. This role is pivotal to supporting financial strategy and ensuring alignment with LSEGs transformation agenda and technology investment priorities. Your ability to bring an organised approach and structured cadence to effective financial planning, developing the quality of the plans, and driving timely submissions will be important.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Budget & Long Term Forecasting

- Lead the annual Engineering budget and long-term forecast central process end-to-end, including :

 

  • Creating an effective planning cadence, and partnering with Engineering finance on the approach to seek alignment
  • Building forecast models and collating financial and non-financial inputs from Engineering teams
  • Co-ordinating the consolidation of risks & opportunities on a monthly basis to support anticipating actions early and drive cost optimisation activities
  • Developing scenario planning & sensitivity analysis to provide additional context to forecast submissions
  • Translating the forecast to a Product-led lens by driving the TCO cost allocation framework through the model to support the strategic direction of performance reporting
  • Supporting and co-ordinating strategic business planning processes
  • Crafting high-quality planning materials to support effective planning review meetings with senior team members
  • Developing the story-telling of planning, bringing together insight and metrics from across Engineering

 

- Lead on bridging in-year monthly forecasting and the annual forecasting cycle for Engineering, with a quarterly planning cadence looking beyond the current year in each quarterly cycle.

 

- Build central knowledge in the Engineering FP&A team of the Engineering cost base by Tower, to drive and support information sharing across Finance

 

Decision Support & Storytelling

 

- Generate clear, concise insights that help leaders understand tradeoffs, risks, and the implications of decisions.

- Transform the organization from reporting what changed to anticipating "what will happen" next.

- Present insight in a way that enables accurate, forward looking, confident, early decisionmaking.

 

Automation

 

- Lead on automating the solution to drive the TCO framework through forecasting, using system capabilities and mentoring finance colleagues on the use of the preferred tool.

- Identify and implement AI use cases across Engineering FP&A to improve planning and forecasting, ensuring AI solutions are interpretable, explainable, and trusted by customers.

 

Skills & Experience

 

Essential

- FP&A experience, including Budgeting, Forecasting and scenario planning, ideally in technology or engineering within a global organisation.

- Excellent communication and business partnering skills.

- Strong analytical and proficiency with Oracle Fusion, Anaplan, Tableau or similar tools.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization with global reach.

 

Desirable

- Background in a technology-led or engineering-heavy organisations.

- Ability to simplify complexity in financial concepts and provide transparency in decision-making.

- Experience with TBM, TCO modelling, and cost allocation frameworks

- Handson experience with AI or LLMbased solutions in planning, analytics, or decision support.
