KPMG is currently seeking a Business Analyst 1, Indirect Tax to join our Tax Shared Services practice.
Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of indirect tax compliance processes and standards from initiation through completion
- Facilitate tax data gathering and document management to support indirect tax compliance filings, renewals, registrations, and related client deliverables across the full suite of indirect tax compliance services, which may include sales and use tax return preparation, business license compliance, motor fuels tax, annual report filings, and property tax preparation
- Analyze and process tax and financial data using KPMG tax technology tools to support the preparation of client deliverables
- Research jurisdictional notices and other indirect tax compliance matters, identify key issues, and recommend appropriate next steps for resolution
- Collaborate with team members to support shared goals, deliver quality client service, and participate in training and professional development activities
- Leverage training and experience to enhance the use of tax technology and improve the quality and efficiency of tax deliverables and services
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of recent relevant experience
- Associate's degree from an accredited college/university, or High School diploma equivalent
- Ability to manage time and multiple assignments based on instructions provided to meet or exceed expectations in a deadline driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel required
- Effective verbal, written and organizational skills to communicate clearly and professionally with team members and engagement teams; attention to project details, timelines and work ethic to accomplish project assignments
