As a Vice President, Accessibility Tester on the Shopping team, you will serve as a hands-on accessibility testing expert who helps advance accessibility quality across public digital experiences. You will independently assess accessibility risks and defects, translate findings into clear remediation guidance, and influence cross-functional partners through strong expertise and communication. You will help mature testing practices, tooling, documentation, and reporting so accessibility is built into delivery outcomes.

Job responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior accessibility testing subject matter expert across public credit card shopping experiences
  • Independently own complex accessibility testing work from assessment through remediation follow-through
  • Develop and execute accessibility test strategies, test plans, test cases, and defect management practices
  • Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to clarify requirements and ensure issues are prioritized and resolved
  • Provide clear documentation, recommendations, and escalation support to improve governance and decision-making
  • Lead defect triage, root-cause analysis, remediation tracking, and risk communication across stakeholders
  • Evaluate and recommend testing tools, automation opportunities, and process improvements to increase effectiveness
  • Stay current on accessibility standards, regulatory expectations, and emerging technologies to strengthen practices
  • Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 7 years of experience in digital accessibility, accessibility testing, quality assurance, product testing, or a related field
  • Deep knowledge of WCAG, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508, PDF/UA, assistive technologies, and common accessibility barriers
  • Proven ability to operate independently as a senior individual contributor and influence cross-functional partners
  • Experience building or maturing testing practices, documentation, standards, and operating routines
  • Ability to identify accessibility issues from designs and live experiences, review front-end code (HTML, ARIA, JavaScript, React), and provide actionable remediation guidance
  • Hands-on experience testing with assistive technologies, including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack, magnifiers, and alternative input methods
  • Strong working knowledge of WAI-ARIA, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and defect management practices in testing tools (for example, Jira)
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills across product, design, engineering, legal, compliance, and operations
  • Experience documenting testing guidance and best practices in a team knowledge base (for example, Confluence)
  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Advanced knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2, and experience in regulated digital environments
  • Experience testing large-scale customer-facing websites or mobile applications, including high-traffic acquisition experiences
  • Experience supporting accessibility test automation, dashboards, reporting, and continuous improvement routines
  • Familiarity with broader technology stacks (for example, Java or .NET) and accessibility considerations for PDFs and automated testing approaches
