Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Ensure accurate, controlled client static data setup and maintenance to enable seamless Cash/Trade processing and issue resolution across global operations.


As a Reference Data Specialist in Commercial and Investment Bank, you execute assigned tasks to set up and maintain client records across functional applications, global systems, and mainframes. You manage incoming requests from CSOs, Implementation, and internal stakeholders while investigating exceptions and resolving queries within established controls and timeframes. You contribute to meeting team SLAs by delivering timely, accurate updates, escalating non-routine issues appropriately, and supporting projects and process improvements.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Set up client records and reference data in functional applications, global systems, and mainframes.
  • Maintain accurate work logs and track progress against ageing and SLA expectations.
  • Investigate exceptions and breaks at transaction and ageing levels to identify root causes and drive resolution.
  • Manage BAU workflow and prioritize requests received from CSOs, the Implementation team, and internal departments.
  • Respond to mailbox/email/telephone queries and resolve client issues with urgency and professionalism.
  • Execute BAU projects and production back-up tasks assigned from time to time, ensuring timely completion.
  • Escalate non-routine situations, risks, or control concerns to supervisors/managers and adhere to required controls.


Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities : 

  • Graduate with experience in a bank operations environment
  • Strong English written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including with senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated analytical ability, attention to detail, organization, and deadline discipline with a control-focused mindset
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially MS Excel, and willingness to work WHEM shift (7:30 PM to 4:30 AM) within a global, multi-time-zone team
     

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities :
 

  • Knowledge of Cash and Trade products
  • Experience in client static/reference data setup and maintenance processes
  • Familiarity with global systems/mainframes and operational SLAs/controls
  • Exposure to BAU project execution and identifying improvements to existing work practices
