As a Credit Support Manager II within the Credit Support team,  you lead a team responsible for regulatory due diligence and document interpretation supporting underwriting-related activities. You manage day-to-day performance, ensure adherence to procedures and contractual obligations, and drive timely escalation of emerging risks. You also establish strong stakeholder partnerships and provide clear, data-driven reporting to senior stakeholders.

Job responsibilities

  • Interpret legal and operational documents related to underwriting and perform regulatory due diligence to support compliance with applicable requirements
  • Deliver agreed turnaround time and accuracy targets through daily execution management and quality checks
  • Monitor and manage team performance against defined service standards, identifying actions to improve outcomes
  • Lead and coach team members through regular feedback, development planning, and performance support
  • Plan capacity and allocate resources across multiple concurrent initiatives to maintain service continuity
  • Ensure adherence to documented procedures, policies, and contractual obligations relevant to the process
  • Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and maintain effective working relationships
  • Identify situations requiring escalation and take timely action in a high-risk, complex environment
  • Produce and present periodic performance and risk reporting, including Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators, to senior stakeholders
  • Own quality control for the process by analyzing issues, identifying root causes, and driving corrective and preventive actions
  • Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelors or masters degree with 9 years of post-qualification experience, or a graduate degree with 12 years of relevant experience in a financial institution
  • 9 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: client onboarding, Know Your Customer (KYC), credit, loan operations, or underwriting support
  • 3 years of people management experience, including leading a team of 10 or more team members
  • Experience providing regular coaching, feedback, and career development support to team members
  • Experience partnering with risk, audit, and compliance stakeholders to support control and governance objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and priorities across multiple workstreams in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experience delivering process performance reporting and presenting key metrics to senior stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Experience identifying control gaps, assessing operational risk, and escalating issues when warranted
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including identifying root causes and driving process improvements
  • Project management experience, including defining work steps, executing milestones, summarizing results, and presenting outcomes to senior stakeholders
