Location: Singapore, Singapore

Join the Commercial and Investment Bank(CIB) Treasury APAC team to help shape balance sheet strategy across Asia. This role drives liquidity, balance sheet optimization, and financial resource management initiatives in close partnership with the business, Corporate Treasury, and senior country stakeholders.

 

As a Vice President within Commercial and Investment bank Treasury APAC, you will lead key initiatives impacting legal entity balance sheets, deliver analytical insights, and support business activity while helping minimize financial resource and balance sheet risks.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Business, Corporate Treasury, and senior country business managers to drive APAC legal entity balance sheet optimization and deliver targets for respective entities.
  • Develop technology and analytics infrastructure to provide portfolio insights, including dashboards, what-if scenarios, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Assess the financial resource management implications of new business initiatives.
  • Further develop cost allocation methodology and technical implementation for financial resource management.
  • Lead local projects and contribute to global initiatives impacting APAC balance sheets.
  • Drive analysis to identify balance sheet risks, optimization opportunities, and actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and mentor junior team members across the broader APAC team.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelors in Finance, Economics or an equivalent degree
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Treasury, Finance, Business Management, Financial Resource Management, or a related function.
  • Broad understanding of financial resource management topics and strong knowledge of at least one CIB business line.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to work with large datasets and databases.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong leadership potential with excellent influencing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail, commercial judgment, and ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations.

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Knowledge of balance sheet and liquidity rules applicable to U.S. banks.
  • SQL knowledge and experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience developing practical technology solutions, including use of Python and AI-assisted development tools to automate workflows, build analytics tools, or prototype applications.
  • Knowledge of accounting, short-term fixed income markets, funding and liquidity models, and legal entity structures.
  • Familiarity with risk management and trading platforms.
