About the role

As a Talent, Learning & Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DIB) Intern, you will play an active role in strengthening INGs ambition to be an inclusive, learningcentred and peoplefocused organisation. You will contribute to strategic and operational initiatives aimed at attracting, developing and empowering talent across ING Netherlands. 

We offer two tracks/focus areas:  
Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DIB) Internship 

  • You will mainly support the DIB strategy, community engagement, data insights, events, and the Unknown Talent Programme. 

Learning & Leadership Internship 

  • You will mainly support learning and leadership development initiatives, project coordination and strategic HR activities 

Both tracks offer a unique opportunity to shape impactful programmes and gain handson HR experience within a dynamic and international environment. 

The Team 
You will join the Dutch Centre of Expertise (CoE) for Talent, Learning & DIB. 
As a DIB Intern, you work closely with the Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging. 
As a Learning & Leadership Intern, you collaborate with the Head of Growth & Careers and/or the Head of Talent Management, and the wider Talent, Learning & DIB community. You will be part of an innovative, informal and collaborative team that values curiosity, creativity and personal growth. 

Roles and responsibilities 
Your work will be a mix of strategic support and hands-on coordination. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Explore best practices in learning and leadership development. Analyze internal data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Data & Reporting: Help prepare impactful presentations and reports for senior leadership using data-driven insights. 
  • Project Coordination: Support the planning and execution of learning programs, workshops, and leadership interventions. 
  • Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with HR teams to ensure seamless delivery of initiatives. Bring your ideas to the tablewe value fresh perspectives! 
  • Event Support: Assist in organizing and facilitating training sessions, leadership events, and other learning experiences. 

Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Track

  • Compliance & Reporting Support 
  • Support the preparation of internal and external DIB reporting for regulatory bodies, certifications, audits, and assessments. 
  • Strategy & Program Delivery 
  • 3 priority areas: female diversity, disability & neurodiversity hiring and inclusive leadership. based, scienceinformed DIB interventions 
  • Assist in implementing evidence based, behavioral science informed DIB interventions through IDEA methodology.  
  • Support the rollout of strategic priorities of 2026 through cross-functional collaborations, logistics and communications. 
  • Drive the Unknown Talent program with supervision of the DIB team 
  • Stakeholder Engagement  
  • Prepare agenda, briefing materials, presentations and summaries for DIB HRBP SPOC Calls (Only 4-5 HRBPs) and HRBP forums (all HRBPs) 
  • Assist in coordinating with INGs Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), including logistics, agenda setting, and communications.  
  • Support in DIB related communications plans and events  

Learning & Leadership Track 

  • Research & Insights 
  • Explore trends in learning, development, talent management or leadership. 
  • Analyse internal data to identify needs and opportunities. 
  • Data & Reporting 
  • Prepare compelling datadriven presentations and reports for senior leadership. 
  • Project Coordination 
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of learning programmes, workshops and leadership interventions.

  • Bring fresh ideas and creative perspectives to the table.
