Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Product Manager to strengthen our Acquiring squad and help shape the future of digital payments for merchants.

If you are curious, or even passionate, about the merchant ecosystem, Ecommerce, and how businesses get paid, and if you enjoy translating customer needs into impactful solutions, this role gives you the opportunity to make a tangible difference for our clients.

Yor new role

Within INGs Payments Tribe, our ambition is to offer smart, seamless, personalized and reliable payment experiences across all channels. Payments are a daily touchpoint for our clients and sit at the very heart of the bank.

The Payments Tribe is composed of three closely collaborating areas:

  • Cards & Payments
  • Acquiring, Accounting & International Payments
  • Cash & ATMs

You will join a small, highly collaborative Acquiring squad covering products such as Ecommerce payments, Point of Sale and SofPOS. In this context, you will have strong ownership, visibility and impact, contributing directly to product strategy, delivery and growth.

Join a team where your work has a real impact on the payment experiences of merchants every day. We offer an environment that supports personal and professional growth, with plenty of opportunities to develop yourself and achieve your ambitions, supported by ongoing coaching from your Product Lead.

Your responsibilities

As a Product Manager / Customer Journey Expert, you will:

  • Understand merchant needs, market trends and the digital payments landscape to design valuable customer journeys
  • Own and manage endtoend payment products and journeys, from idea and refinement to launch, servicing and continuous improvement
  • Translate business and customer needs into clear requirements for IT, Risk, Legal, Customer Support, Sales and other stakeholders
  • Closely collaborate with the DevOps squad, understanding IT architecture and APIs, and helping to remove impediments creatively and constructively
  • Promote your products internally and externally, in collaboration with Marketing and Sales
  • Ensure alignment with business principles, risk management and external regulations
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, ensuring expectations, dependencies and delivery are aligned with customer needs
  • Actively contribute to the success of the selfsteering, multidisciplinary team, while independently managing your own workstreams

How to succeed

We are looking for a colleague who takes ownership, makes things happen, and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You combine strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills with an entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on, can-do attitude. You are able to see the bigger picture while remaining attentive to operational details and enjoy collaborating with stakeholders across business and technology teams.

You bring:

  • A completed Master's degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in digital product or project management
  • Solid experience within the Acquiring and Payments domain
  • Experience in product marketing, sales, go-to-market activities and partnership development
  • Strong stakeholder and partner management skills
  • The ability to understand IT landscapes and automated processes, including APIs, sequence diagrams and system flows
  • Fluency in English and French and/or Dutch
